"Third. T-H-I-R-D. Third."

That was a lame title.  Not lame:  Haley took third place in the third grade spelling bee at school!  Twelve kids competed in the grade spelling bee (the top four from each class).  First and second place were determined before third place because six children all misspelled in the same round, leaving only two kids still in it to spell for first  and second place.  Once first and second place were determined, the six children who all went out on the same round competed for third place. (That didn't make any sense at all, did it?) Four of those kids dropped out pretty quickly, leaving only Haley and another girl named Michelle.  Those two duked it out for a full 35 minutes before Haley finally took third place!  She was so very excited and we're so very proud of her!
