Yep - She's Nuts

Haley came home from school yesterday and said, "When I took a bite of my sandwich at lunch, my tooth started bleeding. It's really loose and I want you to pull it out." So I checked her tooth, and although the back had pulled away from her gum, the front was still securely attached. I told her that her tooth was not ready to come out yet, and that it would really hurt if I tried. Later, when Chris got home from work, Haley plead her case to him and tried to get him to pull her tooth. Chris agreed with me, though, that her tooth was not quite ready.

So then, about half an hour after I'd put Haley to bed, she came triumphantly bursting out of her room, looking like this:
She had pulled her own tooth out. In the dark. A tooth that clearly was not ready yet. She said that it didn't hurt at all, and she didn't even seem freaked out by the ridiculous amount of blood in her mouth. She told my mom today that she'd done it because she wanted to get some more money from the tooth fairy. I sure hope that $1 was worth it!

Yep - She's Nuts - and I laughed out loud at this one because it sounds SO familiar. I would work and work my loose teeth until they came out! It was borderline obsession!

But I love kids with no front teeth. Can't wait to see pictures of her with that cute gap (and without the blood - yikes!)!

I was barely able to make it through the whole post.
I don't know why, but a loose tooth and having them pulled is not my thing!!
But I am happy for her, she was very determined.

Maybe she is headed for the vampire scene. I think I would be panicking if I saw that much blood in my mouth. Crazy girl!

She is so brave! To pull Tatyana's tooth out it has to be so loose, almost falling out by itself. That's great!
